The Kastellorizian Association of Victoria has always been much more than a club; it is a connection to our Kastellorizian Greek heritage and sense of belonging. Growing up, we celebrated milestones and shared traditions with other Kazzie’s. Now as a parent, I want my children to grow up with that same pride, building lifelong friendships and keeping our culture alive. Supporting the club is about investing in our community, identity, and future generations.

For my family, the Kastellorizian Association is our home away from home, where traditions are celebrated and our heritage is passed on. As President, I am honoured to lead an organisation connecting generations and preserving our island’s spirit in Victoria. Our strength lies in our people. By honouring our past and embracing the future, we ensure the Kastellorizian spirit remains vibrant and united for years to come.

I am proud to be an active member of the Kazzie Club, connecting our Melbourne community across generations. As second and third generation Australian born Kazzie’s, I’ve enjoyed many club events, from childhood Christmas parties to the recent Gala Ball. My daughter attended the Christmas functions in the past, developing that same sense of connection and belonging. The Club’s newly renovated premises will ensure our community remains connected. I encourage future generations to get involved.

I joined the Kazzie Club to connect with my grandparents and great grandparents heritage, and to meet others from Kazzie while hearing their stories.

I love the Kazzie Club and all it stands for. The friendship, camaraderie, and love of our island of Kastellorizo are important in keeping our cultural heritage alive and well. My personal journey has been a positive one, and I hope this will continue for future generations. Having our own clubrooms, memorabilia, and a place for members and friends to gather is something I will always treasure, support, and share.

The Kastellorizian Association, or “Kazzie Club” as I call it, has been my home away from home since childhood. From attending social events with my parents to meeting friends through the youth and sporting groups, the club has always been a place of friendship and belonging. Having our own clubrooms gave us a true home, and I hope future generations continue to support the club, its history, and its strong sense of community.
